How do I set a custom time?
Click on the edit button next to the timer display, then enter your desired hours, minutes, and seconds. Click the check mark to save your custom time.
Can I change the animation character?
Yes! Click on the "Animation" button in the top right corner to select from different characters including duck, train, fish, UFO, cat, and clock.
How do I change the theme?
Click on the "Theme" button in the top right corner to choose from different themes like Default, Dark, Colorful, Ocean, and Sunset.
Can I mute the sound effects?
Yes, click the sound icon in the top right corner to toggle sound on/off. You can also adjust volume in the sound settings.
Does Duck Timer work offline?
Once loaded, Duck Timer can function without an internet connection, though some features may be limited.
Usage Tips
- Pomodoro Technique: Use the 25-minute preset for focused work sessions, followed by 5-minute breaks.
- Custom Presets: The most commonly used timer durations are available as presets for quick access.
- Add Time: If you need more time, use the "+1m" or "+5m" buttons to extend your current timer.
- Fullscreen Mode: Use the size options to make Duck Timer fullscreen for better visibility.
- Sound Alerts: Make sure your volume is on to hear the alert when the timer ends.
Troubleshooting
Sound not working?
Check that your browser has permission to play audio and that your system volume is turned up. Try clicking the "Test Sound" button in sound settings.
Animations not displaying correctly?
Try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, make sure your browser is updated to the latest version.
Timer not accurate?
Browser timers can occasionally be affected by system load or sleep mode. For critical timing, we recommend using a backup timer as well.
